Join us at the Eureka Valley Branch on Sunday, Nov. 17, 3-4 P.M. for a very special event featuring the New Voices Bay Area Trans, Inters*x and Genderq***r Chorus. A one-hour musical community event to remember our trans, inters*x and non-binary family who have been lost to violence and oppression. People of all genders and backgrounds are encouraged to join: there will be community singing, musical offerings by the Chorus, time for silent reflection, and opportunities for all to share names. The event is outdoors, so please dress warmly. 🏳️‍⚧️

We are saddened to hear of the recent passing of trans activist and performer, Adela Vázquez. We're so blessed to have met Adela and have her grace our library stage last year — almost one year exactly — at our VIVA 16th event. How fortunate that we recorded the event so we can see her and all the other fabulous queens again and again.

Community members are invited to celebrate the life and legacy of Adela Vázquez on October 27th at 4pm at the Women’s Building.
