NAFCON is a national multi-issue alliance of Filipino organizations, institutions, and individuals that responds to the concerns of Filipinos in the US and in the Philippines by creating a platform that brings people together through culture & heritage, education, health & wellness, and
advocacy. Our programs and projects evolve as the concrete conditions and concerns of Filipinos in the United

States and in the Philippines evolve through time. Through our pillars, we engage groups and individuals to initiate action-oriented and community-centered activities that will address the concerns of the Filipino community.

This past weekend, NAFCON member organizations gathered together under the theme “Sulong: Together We Forge Ahead” following the first ever Kalayaan Summit in Los Angeles, CA, which was attended by over 1,000 Filipino workers, people of faith, students, and professionals from across the country.

Community members watched a screening of Sining at Kultura Lab (Arts and Culture)’s short documentary, Unlad Lubog, and celebrated the hard fought victories that took place over the last few years through our Justice & Accountability, Karapatang Kalusugan, Bayanihan Disaster Response, and Tanggol Migrante campaigns.

Last year, NAFCON activated the Bayanihan Disaster Response to provide immediate support for communities impacted by the various natural disasters. In addition to the generous donations our communities fundraised for our kababayan, a cohort was sent this past December 2025 to provide people to people assistance and learn about the experiences of the people.

🔔 ACTION ALERT: Protect Kuya G and Stop ICE Medical Neglect & Deportation

On December 7th, pressure from community members and medical professionals urged Philippine Airlines to recognize that Kuya G was medically unfit to fly and successfully stopped the deportation mid-process despite ICE’s insistence. This was a powerful testament of what collective action can accomplish, but the fight is still ongoing. Kuya G remains in detention, still without safe, adequate medical care, and he continues to face the imminent threat of deportation.
