We're so proud of our director of programs, Ratha, for serving as the keynote speaker and receiving the Alumni Honoree Award at San Francisco State University's Asian American Studies graduation celebration. 🎓💜

In her speech, she reflected on how powerful it was to learn about the Southeast Asian American experience while she was a student in the program.

She reminded graduates that it's OK to be angry about the injustices our communities have faced, but that we must channel that anger into knowledge, love and action.

Congratulations to all of this year's graduates, and congrats to Ratha on this well-deserved honor!

Our community knows what our community needs. 💛

As we look ahead, we want to hear directly from Southeast Asian, Asian, and low-income families across San Francisco about what’s working, what’s missing, and where support is needed most.

Your feedback will help shape future programs so they stay rooted in real experiences and responsive to the people we serve.

The survey is anonymous, takes just a few minutes, and your input can help guide what comes next.

⏰ DEADLINE: This Friday

Please take a moment to share your voice. We’re listening.

We're incredibly grateful to the Title Sponsor for this year's gala!

A Khmer Buddhist Foundation (Cambodian Progress Fund) is helping us make this year’s event possible. And because of support like this, 1,000+ Southeast Asian community members will get access to education, mental health services, and pathways to opportunity every year.

This is what community looks like.

Now it’s our turn to show up.

👉 Join us at the gala and be part of the impact

A huge S/O to our newest grads from the Asian Youth Prevention Services – Environmental Prevention: Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (and Other Drugs) cohort! 🎓✨

Over the past six months, 10 amazing youth built leadership skills, got real about substance use, and used storytelling as a tool for advocacy. Their final project? A powerful zine on va**ng and teen health—created by youth, for the community.

They presented their work to community members and thoughtfully engaged in dialogue around prevention and change. We’re proud of every single one of them.

Special thanks to our facilitators, Niet and Margarette, for their leadership.

And we're grateful to the Tenderloin Station officers for showing up, and to the San Francisco Police Community Foundation for supporting our grads. 🎉

What does school success actually look like?

It looks like our youth showing up, getting their homework done, and building real confidence every single week. 💛

Right now, 100% of students in SEADC’s K–8 program are completing 90% of their homework—with support from bilingual staff who get them.

This kind of impact doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of community.
