Golden Gate Park is full of delights, among which is an old-growth forest. The Oak Woodlands in the Park's northeastern corner are a haven for native oak trees, and the diverse community of animals and plants that thrive among them. For three decades Friends of Oak Woodlands have stewarded these woodlands in partnership with Recreation and Parks' Natural Resources Division.
