Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) consists of young professionals supporting and promoting awareness of Family House (www.familyhouseinc.org) through social fundraising events. YPAC hosts social events in the Bay Area to promote awareness about Family House amongst young professionals in the community.

Yoga + YPAC, what’s not to love? Last week YPAC had the amazing pleasure of hosting a free yoga class in the park taught by the incredible molly flood 🤸‍♀️ 🧘🏽‍♀️🧡 the weather was gorgeous, the vibes were high, and we got to raise money for the incredible families at Family House San Francisco.

Last month Family House hosted its second annual Golf with Heart event and YPAC members were onsite as volunteers! 🧡⛳️

The event raised $125,000 and we could not be more proud of our YPACers for showing out and supporting!

Get to know the members of YPAC! 🧡 Today’s spotlight is Graham Wylie.

Why Graham joined YPAC:
I’ve been fortunate to know Family House for several years through my role with the San Francisco Giants and have seen firsthand the impact it has on children and families navigating incredibly difficult circumstances. What has always stood out to me is that Family House is so much more than a place to stay—it’s a community that provides comfort, connection, and a sense of normalcy when families need it most.
After moving to San Francisco last year, I was looking for ways to get more involved in my local community and connect with others my age who care about making a difference, so joining YPAC felt like a natural fit. I’m excited to support an organization I deeply admire while building friendships with people who share a commitment to giving back. Family House is truly a special place, and I’m grateful to be part of its community.

YPAC thanks everyone who came out, supported the fundraiser, and our incredible host and band!

Today we’re spotlighting YPAC member Elle Ternes Wood and her incredible photography!

Why Elle joined YPAC 🧡 “After moving to San Francisco last year, I wanted to find a local organization I admired and quickly get involved. I’ve always been passionate about children’s issues, and when I found Family House, it truly felt meant to be. The house is pure magic— the kids are joyful, fun, and inspiring. I feel so grateful to be a part of it through YPAC and my photography work!”

This month’s YPAC Member Spotlight is Alisha Kalra!

🧡 About Alisha: Hi, I’m Alisha Kalra. I live in San Francisco and I’m a creative and a preschool teacher. I studied design at Parsons School of Design in Paris and New York.

After moving back from New York, I now teach at Belvedere Nursery School preschool, where I focus on creativity, art, and building strong one-on-one connections with kids.

I joined YPAC because my coworker Cate Kneedly inspired me and made me feel so welcome, and because I truly believe in the mission and work Family House does to support children and families.

This month’s member spotlight is Marissa Mills! Marissa is originally from Orange County and graduated from Cal Poly SLO in 2024 ☀️ She currently works as a medical assistant at UCSF and in her free time she enjoys biking and exploring the city 🚲 Why Marissa joined YPAC: “I joined YPAC to get more involved in my community and because I think what family house does for these families is incredible and so important.”

HOLIDAY GALA RECAP ❄️ Earlier this month, YPAC co-hosted a holiday gala with .socialclub. Together we raised over $4,200 to support our families over the holidays! We want to give a huge shout out to SF Social Club for their support, as well as everyone who volunteered, donated an auction/raffle item, and helped to plan the event. We’re certainly ending 2025 on a high note and can’t wait to see what’s in store in 2026!
