As UC resident physicians unite across the state in historic action, I join them in solidarity calling on University of California and UCSF Health to come to the table and bargain in good faith.
UC resident physicians show up for our patients every single day. Now it's our turn to show up for them. As the cost of living across California continues to rise, resident physicians are increasingly being forced to make impossible choices between caring for our patients and maintaining their own financial stability and well-being. They deserve fair pay for all residency and fellowship programs, benefit protections, and essential workplace safety measures.
