It‘s day 1 of FIFA World Cup and Swiss Nati Men’s first game is only two days away. We are looking forward to seeing shine.🇨🇭⚽️

This week has been all about celebrating Switzerland and the team‘s presence in California.

Over the weekend we had the chance to see the team play in a friendly against Australia and meet with Swiss fans during a reception we hosted at the stadium in San Diego.

Yesterday, we got a glimpse of their morning training and heard from Silvan Widmer during a press briefing only days before their first game.

Today, you can join us in San Diego for a Swiss night to celebrate .

Arts that brought life to water narratives:

Throughout the exhibition that opened with multimedia artist Angy He’s audio-visual performance to the last event featuring the poetic reading by former San Francisco Poet Laureate .shuck , many of you admired the participating artists’ artworks with a great admiration - and we sincerely thank you for that.

“The stone in your mouth/the flesh in my teeth” by  took the visitors on a journey to experience the resilient and intelligent intertidal zone.

The lace panels by invited the viewers to build their own relationship to landscape; the porcelain vessels of sweet woodruff called everyone quietly to digest and act while the “running” water in the video gave a live impression.

A powerful performance by and Charmaine Butcher marked the beautiful ending of our event series.

Proudly closing this chapter, we will dive into our next. Stay tuned!

Experience Carl Orff’s iconic Carmina Burana paired with Vivaldi’s Gloria, performed by the Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra & Chorus led by Swiss native Maestro Urs Leonhardt Steiner.

As part of the program, supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in the United States of America and Consulate General of Switzerland in San Francisco, the ‘Carmina Burana’ Choir from Engadin will also perform four traditional Romansh songs, bringing the sounds of Switzerland’s fourth official language to the Bay Area. Specifically assembled for this occasion, the ensemble unites six members of different choirs across the Engadin region.

Can’t make it this time? No worries! This summer, the production continues in the Swiss Alps as part of an international collaboration with the Festival Scuol Classics and the Scuol/Tarasp Bureau! Start planning your trip!

Meet Mark Baugh-Sasaki, one of the artists featured in Hidden Currencies: Water Justice in the Age of AI. 💧🤖

Did you know that in ‘Water Temple’ (2026), both the image and sound are AI-generated?

The work draws you into a meditative space, while exposing the hidden environmental cost behind digital imagery and AI systems. It blurs simulation and reality, asking us to reconsider our relationship to water, technology, and nature.
