Behind every number is a family building a transformative future. 🧡

Because of your support, during Quarter 3 (January–March 2026), Hamilton Families helped:

🏠 38 families move from homelessness into stable housing
🏠 14 families secure housing right here in San Francisco
🏠 27 families avoid eviction through our Homelessness Prevention Assistance Program
🏠 51 families receive emergency shelter, case management, and wraparound support at our Family Shelter
🏠 20 families access interim housing and supportive services through our Transitional Housing Program

These aren't just statistics, they're parents finding stability, children gaining a sense of safety, and families building the foundation for a stronger future.

Thank you for making this impact possible. Together, we're helping families stay rooted, housed, and thriving in the communities they call home.

BIG shoutout to our incredible and long-time community partners at the Katherine Delmar Burke School for continuing to show up for families in such meaningful ways! 🧡

Last month, Burke School teachers spent the day at our Family Shelter helping beautify and organize some of our common spaces, creating welcoming environments where families can feel safe and supported.

Then, our team had the opportunity to visit the Burke School campus and speak with students about the realities of family homelessness in San Francisco, the remarkable journeys families take while in our programs, and the importance of community in helping families rebuild stability. To top it all off, their students created thoughtful gift bags for the moms in our programs, small acts of kindness that make a BIG impact.

Thank you, Burke School, for being such dedicated champions for families in our community. We are so grateful for your thoughtful partnership! ✨🫶

On this we're sending our gratitude to long-time volunteer and donor, Tonya, for showing up once again for our families! 🙌

Last week, Tonya hand delivered an incredible donation of brand new clothing, toiletries, and essential items for parents and children staying at our Family Shelter. These donations do so much more than fill shelves — they help families feel cared for, welcomed, and supported during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

It’s community members like Tonya who remind our families that they are not alone. Thank you for continuing to stand alongside the families we have the privilege to serve! 🧡

Last week, our CEO, Kyriell Noon, had the opportunity to present at the Housing First Partners Conference on a topic that’s deeply shaping the future of our work at Hamilton Families: Housing First for Racial Justice and Long-Term Social Mobility.

For decades, family homelessness in San Francisco has disproportionately impacted Black and Brown families — not by accident, but as the result of generations of racist housing policies, displacement, and economic exclusion. And while Rapid Re-Housing has helped thousands of families move out of homelessness, we’ve also had to ask ourselves a difficult question:

Have homelessness response systems unintentionally contributed to the displacement of the very communities we aim to serve?

At Hamilton Families, we believe it’s our responsibility to confront that question head on.

That’s why we are evolving our approach beyond simply “housing families as quickly as possible wherever it is most affordable.” Through our Opportunity Neighborhoods initiative and broader Anti-Poverty strategy, we are asking a bigger question:

Can we keep Black and Brown families rooted in San Francisco and help them exit poverty for good?

Our answer is yes — but it requires a new way of thinking.

It means being intentional about where families are housed, surrounding them with opportunity-rich environments, and stacking long-term supports like workforce development, financial empowerment, educational opportunity, and community connection to create lasting mobility for future generations.

Housing is not the finish line. It’s the foundation.

We’re proud to be part of a growing national conversation challenging the homelessness response field to think bigger, move deeper, and design systems that don’t just respond to crisis — but actively create pathways out of poverty for families for generations to come.

Let's go, Chime! 🙌

Last week, Chime’s San Francisco team rolled up their sleeves and volunteered at our Transitional Housing Program, helping us paint and refresh our common spaces for families.

At Hamilton Families, we know that healing and stability begin with more than just housing — they begin with creating spaces where families can feel safe, welcomed, and proud to call home. Thanks to incredible community partners like Chime, our families are surrounded by a passionate and caring community that believes in them every step of the way. 🧡

Thank you, Chime, for helping us create brighter spaces and brighter futures for families across San Francisco! 🎨🏠✨

Meet the team helping families stay rooted right here in San Francisco! 👋

From July 1, 2025 through last week, our three dedicated staff from our Homelessness Prevention Assistance Team helped 79 families avoid the trauma of eviction. By quickly connecting families to critical rental assistance, they’re stopping homelessness before it starts.

Eviction prevention isn’t just compassionate—it’s one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to end family homelessness. And behind every number is a family that gets to stay in their home, keep their kids in school, and hold onto their stability. 🏠

This work doesn’t happen without leadership, urgency, and deep care for the families we serve. Thank you, Danilo, Erika, and Jerson (left to right)! 🧡

HUGE shoutout to one of our newest community partners, Loomis Sayles!

What started as a simple invitation to share our work quickly turned into something so much more. Their San Francisco team jumped into action—creating thoughtful birthday party kits for families we’ve recently housed and making a generous financial contribution to support our housing efforts.

It’s this kind of partnership that turns a house into a home and reminds families that they are seen, celebrated, and supported every step of the way.

Thank you, Loomis Sayles, for showing up in such a meaningful way! 🧡

We say it all the time—and it’s true every time: we have the BEST community of donors, volunteers, and champions who show up when it matters most. 🧡

Meet Susanne, Kate, and Gabby—three incredible moms who turned their passion into action by hosting a special mother-daughter activation at our Transitional Housing program to create beautiful welcome home kits and floral arrangements for our Mother's Day Celebration. And special thank you to long-time champion and supporter, MJ, for delivering these beautiful flowers generously donated by Paula LeDuc Fine Catering & Events!

Just in time for our Mother’s Day celebration, these kits and floral arrangements were filled with care, intention, and love—reminding every mom in our programs that they are seen, supported, and celebrated. Thank you, Susanne, Kate, Gabby, and MJ! 💐
