As Christians, God calls us to love each other deeply just like family. Some of our brothers and sisters need more than mere Bible teaching. Because of troubled backgrounds or poor choices, they need assistance in areas that we often take for granted. Those coming out of incarceration, addiction, or abusive homes often don’t get the same opportunities as others. Therefore, we want to assist them w

ith housing and employment options. Our desire is to help change the trajectory of at-risk individuals by surrounding them with a loving community, encouragement, and prayer. We believe that with some mentoring and leadership development, these individuals can flourish and in turn help others.

Our Story

Back in 2013 we moved into the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco with a lot of hope and expectation that God was going to move in power and we were going to see lives transformed. We didn't have total clarity on what God wanted to do, but we knew through seeking Him that He would guide our steps and lead us into His vision for this ministry. Since then, we have seen God working wonders in the men and women who have come through our discipleship homes. Many have surrendered their lives to Christ in these houses and we are so thankful that we get to play a small part in that. In 2017, the leadership team at The Way (previously called Project Bayview) was sensing that God wanted to shift some of the way we did discipleship. We wanted to focus on intentional one-on-one discipleship relationships while also looking to build character. As we began to develop our 4 phase discipleship model, we also thought that the name Project Bayview didn't represent the ministry the way we wanted it to. There was not a lot of meaning behind the name, so after a lot of prayer, we decided to change our name to The Way Christian Ministries. Our houses are built on teaching men and women how to follow Jesus. Jesus calls himself the way, the truth and the life in John 14:6 and the early Christians were known as followers of The Way. As a ministry, this is the only thing we want to be known for - pointing people to The Way. The Way is excited to launch into this new year with a lot of momentum and we want to invite you to partner with us in prayer, financially, or serving alongside us in some way. We want to include you in all of the amazing things that God is doing here.
