💡 Workforce training programs are an effective pathway to quality, career-oriented jobs. However, many low-income workers can't afford the true cost of participating, which includes expenses such as childcare, transportation, and lost income.

Tipping Point's Opportunity Fund, launched in partnership with grantees JVS, JobTrain, Opportunity Junction, and Rising Sun Center for Opportunity, is working to solve that. This new program will support 300 low-income workers to enroll in earn-and-learn programs in promising fields like healthcare and construction + provide flexible financial support and coaching to help cover the true cost of participation.

Congratulations to Talia Nagar, our Senior Program Officer, Employment, for receiving the inaugural Alec Perkins Staff Award!

Longtime Tipping Point Board member Alec Perkins, now Emeritus Board member, has been an integral part to Tipping Point's growth and success over the past 20 years. This annual award celebrates a staff member who embodies the same resilience and dedication that Alec brought to his work—someone who steps up when the work gets hard and lifts up those around them.

We're so grateful to Talia for all her work spearheading Tipping Point's employment strategy, and to Alec for the integral role he's played in shaping Tipping Point into the organization it is today.

We're still in awe... together, we raised $40 MILLION last night at the ! 🏁🏁

The is a region full of innovation and opportunity—but we know that not all of our neighbors have the same access. Thanks to the support of this community, including a generous $25 million gift from , $40 million will be invested into proven solutions that move people out of poverty and toward economic mobility.
