Seven incredible organizations headquartered in 4 states across the Appalachian region completed our seven-month training curriculum, that helps orgs learn to leverage SNAP E&T programming to expand workforce opportunities and grow employeesโ€™ economic power.

Shout out to our graduates -- one of which (High Rocks Educational Corporation!) has already been accepted to become a SNAP E&T provider starting next month!

Quality jobs are a pathway to economic power. Across the country, local workforce programs are already showing what works. The next step is investing in those solutions and helping them grow.

Redefine Alliance is proud to endorse the Better Jobs Through Evidence and Innovation Act, introduced by Rep. Josh Harder and Rep. Lucy McBath. The bill would create a Workforce Development Innovation Fund to develop and expand evidence-based programs so more people breaking through barriers to employment can access sustainable, high-demand careers.

Weโ€™re glad to stand with workforce leaders across the country in support of public investment that works for workers, employers, and communities.

This just in: Our Bridge to Behavioral Health Career Pathways program has expanded!

Across the country, thereโ€™s high demand for behavioral health professionals, and lived experience can be a tremendous asset in this field. But entering the field and finding quality jobs that can lead to a career can be challenging, especially for people facing systemic barriers to employment, including involvement with the justice system.

In Los Angeles, weโ€™re proud to have a deep bench of partners well equipped to work together to address this imbalance. With support from the Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity through the High Road Training Partnership Fund, weโ€™ve connected behavioral health employers, training providers, and employment social enterprise partners to design two connected career pathways. Together, weโ€™re creating structured routes that can take Angelenos from entry-level roles to higher-wage opportunities in behavioral health.

This work canโ€™t be done alone! Weโ€™re so grateful to our behavioral health employer partners, Pacific Clinics, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, Helpline Youth Counseling, Inc., and La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center; our training partners, Painted Brain and Pacific Clinics Training Institute; and our employment social enterprise partners, Chrysalis, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and The Center for Living and Learning.

Weโ€™re energized to see what this expanded program makes possible!

Creating opportunity and strengthening communities.

For 75 years, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta has connected generosity with the needs and possibilities of the region.

Through the GoATL Community Capacity Fund, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is providing a $250,000 program related investment in RIIF, expanding access to flexible financing for employment social enterprises and workforce-focused nonprofits nationwide.

Through bridge loans, lines of credit, and working capital, RIIF helps organizations navigate funding gaps, strengthen operations, and grow their impact โ€” so they can stay focused on creating quality jobs and supporting people overcoming barriers to employment.

Weโ€™re proud to partner with the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. Together, weโ€™re building a stronger regional ecosystem where organizations have the capital to grow, communities have the resources to thrive, and more people can access dignified work and pathways to economic power.

More exciting RIIF news, this time from Huntington, West Virginia!

Weโ€™re proud to announce a new investment from RIIFโ€™s Appalachian Growth Fund in Heritage Farm Foundation and the arrival of Snow Oasis.

Heritage Farm has been a cornerstone of Appalachian heritage, agriculture, and community for more than 50 years. Now, itโ€™s about to become something more: the regionโ€™s first year-round indoor and outdoor snow park, bringing snow sports access to families who have always been priced out of mountain resorts four hours away.

A $500,000 revenue-based financing investment from our Appalachian Growth Fund is helping complete the outdoor slopes and open the doors, creating 30 jobs in the Huntington community and positioning Heritage Farm as a year-round economic anchor in the heart of Appalachia.

This is exactly what RIIF and our Appalachian Growth Fund exist to support: a mission-driven organization, a multigenerational family legacy, and a business case that holds.

Big news from Santa Rosa, California!

Since 1982, Conservation Corps North Bay (CCNB) has helped young people facing barriers to employment build skills and brighter futures through education, paid job training, and wraparound support.

A member of the Redefine Alliance community since 2017 and a repeat RIIF borrower, CCNB is receiving a new $1 million loan from RIIFโ€™s Growth & Mobility Fund. This investment will support the expansion of its Santa Rosa location and programs like its Zero Waste Crews, giving more young people the opportunity to earn while learning on the job.

Weโ€™re proud to support CCNB as it creates pathways to meaningful careers while strengthening communities and protecting the environment.

Redefine Alliance is proud to announce our 2026 Catalyst Cohort, a national community of practice designed to strengthen employment social enterprises (ESEs) that are creating pathways to employment and economic power for Opportunity Youth and individuals with justice system experience.

Made possible through the support of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Catalyst Cohort brings together 20 leaders from 10 ESEs across the country, to collaboratively work to bolster the impact of their employee success programs. Each organization has crafted an experiment tailored to the needs of the people they serve, with peer coaching from an experienced ESE leader. Through structured technical assistance, peer learning, and hands-on experimentation, participants are strengthening their organizations, building stronger pathways to quality jobs and economic mobility, and contributing to best practices that benefit the broader ESE field.

Say hello to our newest cohort of Farber alums! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our 2026 Farber Fellowship season has wrapped. Recently, we gathered the crew in San Francisco for a showcase of summer projects and a celebration of their work. Over the course of 10 weeks, these early career business leaders worked alongside employment social enterprises and Redefine Alliance, taking on projects across strategy, partnerships, financial health, AI, access to capital, and more.

A lot can happen in 10 weeks. There were big questions to work through, new relationships to build, plenty to learn โ€” and, we hope, some fun along the way!

To our Farbers: thank you for showing up with curiosity, sharing your skills, and really getting to know our ESE community. Your contributions will make a measurable difference in the strategic efforts of businesses across our network and in our own work at Redefine. We canโ€™t wait to see where youโ€™ll go from here!

Join us in celebrating the Farber Class of 2026!

RIIF and Center for Employment Opportunities - CEO are opening doors to new possibilities.

CEO is transforming lives nationwide by providing pathways to economic mobility through paid transitional employment, job placement, and retention support for people recently returning home from incarceration.

Their new Oakland office will serve as a hub for employment training, advanced-skills development, and professional growth for approximately 325 participants on transitional work crews and six participants in its Emerging Leaders Program.

A new $800,000 RIIF leasehold improvement loan will transform 4,120 square feet into a modern, future-ready space built to support innovation, adaptability, and opportunity in a rapidly evolving economy.

Weโ€™re proud to support organizations like Center for Employment Opportunities as they open their doors to a place where people can build pathways to lasting economic power in their communities.
