San Gabriel Women's Foundation

The San Gabriel Chamber of Commerce was started by the wives of council members and civic leaders in the community.

They saw the need to promote the city after it was incorporated in 1913. Today's Women's Foundation was organized in 1936 as a support group for the San Gabriel Chamber of Commerce. The group has acted as official city hostesses for many years, sponsored civic improvement projects and work to coordinate the interests of the businesses and residential members of the community. The Women's Foundatio

n meets September through June on the third Thursday of each month at the adult recreation center, Padillo room, for a luncheon meeting and program from 11:30 to 1:30 PM. The Foundation is compromised of both working and non working woman and men, making it a constructive blend of service to the San Gabriel community. We extend an invitation to all in the community to join us and help in our efforts to make San Gabriel a better place to live, work and play.

The San, Gabriel Womens Foundation annual soup and salad luncheon was a big success! The Foundation gives back to the city and it’s this annual event that helps us do that.

The San, Gabriel Womens Foundation and San gabriel Historical association will be sharing a table at the farmers market on Saturday, May 2nd. Please stop by and learn about all the wonderful things that the woman’s foundation and a historical association does in the city.

A big thank you to Suzy, Debi and Gloria from Bank of America. They came to give us a presentation on how to protect yourself from scams and fraud. This presentation truly opened up our eyes on what to watch out for protecting ourselves.
