The Kniestedt Foundation is committed to helping veterans recognize and achieve their full potential as they return to civilian life.

James Kniestedt, a veteran of United States Army Special Forces, has gone through intense combat and has seen the sacrifice of our brave service men and women. Forced to retire due to combat related injuries, he has dedicated a large portion of his time to assisting veterans and their families overcome the challenges of everyday life.

Yesterday, we made a little impromptu visit to the Soldiers Memorial Military Museum, and somewhere along the way, a simple moment turned into something pretty special.

Sometimes, kids have a way of saying things that cut straight to the heart of what really matters. No complicated words, no grand speeches. Just a simple message of gratitude and appreciation.

Translated from the eyes of an 8-year-old:
“Thank you for your service. You are like superheroes to our country. Happy Halloween!”

And honestly, isn't that a pretty incredible way to look at it?

To the men and women who have worn our nation's uniform, thank you for being the heroes who have helped protect the freedoms we enjoy. We hope you know that your service matters, your sacrifices are appreciated, and the next generation is watching, learning, and recognizing what you've done.

Sometimes the most meaningful reminders come from the smallest voices.

Help us congratulate Kniestedt Foundation Ambassador Joe Hoehn on harvesting an absolute STUD of a bull elk with our longtime friends at Salt River Range Outfitters!

Scoring an incredible 342 inches, this bull now ranks as the second-largest bull ever taken with Salt River Range Outfitters! Talk about a hunt to remember!

Joe has been a tremendous part of the Kniestedt Foundation family, and we couldn't be happier to see him have an opportunity like this. It's always special when someone who gives so much of their time and energy to helping other Veterans gets the chance to experience an unforgettable adventure of their own.

One of the biggest priorities at the Kniestedt Foundation is building lasting relationships with the Veterans we serve. We work hard to put our Veterans in great situations, surrounded by genuinely good people who share our passion for the outdoors and our commitment to supporting those who have served.

Last December, Army Veteran Justin Orrick joined us for an Illinois Whitetail Hunt on land leased by Harry Soutis. What started as a hunting opportunity has grown into a friendship that continues well beyond the woods.

This week, Harry and Justin met up for dinner, and Justin brought along his mount so they could check out the finished product together. A big shoutout to Matt Stark of Wildest Dreams Taxidermy for the outstanding taxidermy work!

While our crew was busy chasing whitetails during the Northern Missouri Doe Hunt last weekend, we also had Caleb Matthews, son of Kniestedt Foundation alumnus Josh Matthews, up north in Wisconsin for a whitetail hunt of his own!

This brand-new event for the Kniestedt Foundation came together thanks to the generosity of Mike and Angela Fuge, who opened up their home and property to make this opportunity possible. Mike approached us with the idea last winter, and we jumped all over the opportunity to make it happen!

And boy, are we glad we did! Caleb had himself quite the weekend, putting his marksmanship to the test and coming away with THREE does harvested! Let's just say the young man proved he can shoot!

A huge THANK YOU to Mike and Angela for welcoming Caleb and helping us launch another opportunity to get the next generation outdoors. We are incredibly grateful for people who continually look for ways to support our mission and create meaningful hunting experiences.

It's always special when our Kniestedt Foundation family grows, and having the opportunity to share these experiences with the children of our alumni makes it that much better.

What a weekend in Northern Missouri with our friends at B4 Outdoors!
A few years ago, we met Kevin and his father at a sporting clays fundraiser the Kniestedt Foundation hosted in Wisconsin. Since then, we’ve stayed in touch, shared ideas, and helped each other out whenever we could. From the beginning, we’ve been impressed by their genuine heart for Veterans and their commitment to creating meaningful outdoor experiences.

So, when Kevin approached us about sending a few guys his way for a doe hunt in Northern Missouri, we were all in! And let us tell you, this event did not disappoint!

Four Kniestedt Foundation alumni hit the field and came away with an impressive seven deer and one coyote! But one of the weekend’s highlights belonged to Veteran Keith Hickman, who harvested his first AND second deer ever! That's the kind of experience that makes these opportunities so special.

As great as the hunting success was, though, the harvest numbers only tell a small part of the story. The memories made, the laughs shared, and the camaraderie built around camp are what truly make weekends like this worthwhile. At the end of the day, it’s about much more than filling tags. It’s about building relationships, strengthening bonds, and giving Veterans the opportunity to spend time with people who understand and appreciate their service.

A HUGE thank you to Kevin and the entire B4 Outdoors crew for all the time, effort, and heart you put into making this event a success. We appreciate the partnership, the friendship, and everything you do to support Veterans.

We’re grateful to have folks like you in our corner, and we look forward to making many more memories together!

There’s a lot more behind that bottle of Gravick Ranch Sauce or shaker of Gravick Ranch Seasoning than just great flavor.

Every purchase helps fund outdoor events for Veterans through the Kniestedt Foundation.

One of the cornerstones of every Kniestedt Foundation event is great food, and Gravick Ranch products have become a staple around the campfire, grill, and dinner table. There’s just something about bringing Veterans together over a great meal after a day outdoors.

This past weekend, Joe Rhodes was putting the Gravick Ranch lineup to work, prepping food for our upcoming Colorado Mule Deer Hunt with Ho**er Mountain Outfitters.

The hunt may still be a few weeks away, but the preparation is already underway—and that includes making sure our Veterans are well fed!
