The mission of Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District is to responsibly provide exceptional programs and quality recreation and park facilities that promote community involvement and healthy lifestyles. Valley-Wide is a special Parks and Recreation District that has been serving the community since 1972, by offering recreation leagues and activities for both youth and adults. We currently maintain 80 parks within a 800 square mile service area that encompasses Hemet, San Jacinto, Sage, Aguanga, Winchester, Menifee, Valle Vista, French Valley, and Romoland/Homeland.

Todays is the day!!!
Join Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District at the the Opening Ceremony celebration for Country View Park in Homeland TODAY, Saturday, September 19, at 10 a.m.
Festivities will include a brief ceremony, bounce house and free treats from Kona Ice courtesy KB Home (while supplies last).
Located at 30355 Mattero Trail Court in Homeland (off Briggs Road, north of Highway 74), this new 5-acre park features a ballfield, soccer field, two half-court basketball courts, dual play areas, two gazebos, and a public restroom to serve our growing community.

We are about one week away from the annual Pumpkin Plunge at the Diamond Valley Aquatic Center.
The 19th annual event will be Saturday, September 26 from noon to 4 p.m.
There will be games and raffles throughout the day.
Prices have been reduced to $2 for ages 2 and younger; $8 for ages 3 to 54; and $7 for age 55+, military members and veterans.
The pool is at 1801 Angler Ave., Hemet. We hope to see you there!!

The deadline to register for Valley-Wide's Coed Youth Flag Football season is TODAY, September 14! Flag football has become one of the fastest-growing sports for youth, offering a fun and high-energy environment for players of all skill levels to develop their game. We're just days away from the start of the annual OLDlympics, a series of competitions for people 50 and older, which will take place from Sept. 14 to Oct. 6 in Hemet and San Jacinto. Don't wait to register, as some of the activities registration dates have already closed or will close in the coming days, and others are almost full. Competitors can choose from among 20 events -- bench press, billiards, bingo, bowling, chair volleyball, cribbage, Fun-tathlon, golf, hand & foot, horseshoes, pickleball, pinochle, Scrabble, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis, tennis, Texas Hold 'em, tournament Blackjack and track and field. The event wraps up with the Awards Banquet. Fees for the 41st annual OLDlympics range from $5 for one event to $23 for unlimited events. And every competitor gets a T-Shirt! FREE MOVIES TONIGHT IN HOMELAND AND SAN JACINTO!!!
Valley-Wide is offering two opportunities to see a free movie in the park tonight, Friday, September 11.
We will show "GOAT" at Larry Minor Regional Park and "How to Train Your Dragon" at the brand new Country View Park.
Be sure to bring something to sit on, snacks and the family for a fun-filled evening. We will provide free popcorn while supplies last. The movies will start when it gets dark.
Larry Minor Regional Park is at 901 W. Esplanade Ave., San Jacinto, and Country Views Park is at 30355 Mattero Trail Court, Homeland.
