🎃✨ 27,000 Glowsticks. Thousands of Smiles. One Safer Halloween!

Another successful year of Safe from the Start! 💙

This year, we helped make Halloween brighter and safer for children and families across Santa Clara County by distributing 27,000 glowsticks, helping kids stay visible while enjoying the festivities!

A huge thank you to County Supervisor Betty Duong and our incredible sponsors and community partners for making this initiative possible.

Every child deserves to feel safe while making memories with their family, and we're grateful to everyone who helped bring this initiative to life.

Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and meaningful change starts when communities come together.

The Santa Clara County Children’s Summit brings together leaders from education, healthcare, government, nonprofits, philanthropy, and community organizations to spark conversations that lead to action. You'll be among changemakers exploring the latest insights from the Santa Clara County Children’s Data Book, collaborating through interactive workshops, building powerful cross-sector partnerships, and learning strategies that can create lasting impact for children, youth, and families across our region.

Presented in partnership with the Santa Clara County Office of Education, this year's Summit also celebrates the incredible individuals, organizations, and youth making a difference through the Bold Step for Children and Changemaker for Children Awards, while ensuring young people's voices remain at the center of the conversation and the solutions.

Tonight (Friday) at the 8 p.m. performance of "Eureka Day," we're proud to spotlight Healthier Kids Foundation, a local organization working to ensure every child has equitable access to quality care.

By partnering with families and caregivers to identify and remove health barriers, Healthier Kids Foundation helps children build healthier futures and reach their full potential.

At City Lights, we believe strong communities are built when we show up for one another. That's why we're honored to support Healthier Kids Foundation through this special nonprofit partner night, with a portion of box office proceeds benefiting their important work.

Many vision problems aren't easy to spot. In fact, many children don't realize they're having trouble seeing because they assume everyone sees the world the same way.

That's why VisionFirst is so important. Through early vision screenings, Healthier Kids Foundation helps identify potential vision concerns before they become barriers to learning, confidence, and everyday life. When vision issues are detected early, children can receive the care they need to stay engaged in the classroom, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Clear vision opens the door to brighter futures. From reading in the classroom to participating in sports and spending time with friends, healthy vision gives children the confidence to learn, grow, and thrive every day.
