Language access isn't just a service - it's what makes every voice count.
Bilingva was proud to provide real-time simultaneous Spanish interpretation at the Metzgar Street Project Community Meeting and MidPen Open House for the City of Half Moon Bay, a gathering that brought together residents, local organizations, farmworker advocates, and community leaders to discuss much-needed affordable housing for coastside families.
The room included Spanish-speaking farmworker households for whom this project is deeply personal: families who needed to understand not just what was being said, but what it meant for their future. Our interpreters were there in real time, making sure no voice was lost in translation.
Affordable housing conversations are complex. They involve legal processes, zoning language, community concerns, and deeply held emotions. When those conversations happen in a multilingual room, the quality of interpretation isn't a detail, it is the difference between a community that feels heard and one that feels left out. Bilingva team has been doing it for over 25 years.
We are deeply grateful to have received this message from our client following the event:
"Bilingva interpreters were wonderful. Please thank them for their services and contributions to our community meeting."
This is exactly why Bilingva exists.
📩 If you are planning a multilingual community event or public meeting, we would love to be in the room with you.
