These items do not have to be separated. Please do not put non-recycleable items in the recycle bins. If the recycle bins are full, please call Village Hall at 309-247-3332. Please do not leave you recyclables on the ground. There is a camera at the recycle location and the Village monitors the footage for violators.

The Village of San Jose is accepting resumes with references to fill a full or part-time police chief position. The police chief must have graduated from the Police Academy and be in good standing with the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board. The San Jose Police Department, located in Mason and Logan Counties, provides protection for its citizens while monitoring traffic on U.S. 136. The police chief hired will need an excellent working knowledge of the Illinois Vehicle Code. The majority of the time will be spent conducting traffic enforcement.

The full-time chief position starts at $25.00 an hour, and part-time will be discussed. The police chief hired must be available to work 25-40 hours each week. Shifts range from days, with most work shifts occurring evenings and weekends.
