Interested in serving your community? Candidate packets are now available for pickup at the Village Hall for anyone interested in running for the Village Board in the April 2027 election.

📅 Candidate Filing Begins: November 16, 2026 at 7:30 a.m. at the Village Hall

• One (1) two-year term

On behalf of RWE and the Village of San Jose, congratulations to our two scholarship recipients for the RWE Americas Development Scholarship. Annabelle LaFary (left) will be attending Jamestown University in North Dakota with a criminology major this Fall. Alaina Karker (right) will be attending Millikin University in Decatur with an Exercise Science major. 📢 Resident Notice

A representative from Conxxus Internet, Porter Hullett, will be going door-to-door in the Village of San Jose today and over the next three days.

Porter has been issued an approved Village of San Jose Peddler’s Permit and is authorized to go door-to-door on behalf of Conxxus to provide information about their internet services, answer questions, and discuss available plans.

Conxxus is currently offering promotional discounts, including two months of free service and free installation for qualifying new customers. Porter can explain the available offers and help determine if your residence qualifies.

Please note that the Village of San Jose is not endorsing Conxxus or its services. This notice is provided solely to inform residents that Porter is an authorized representative and has an approved Village peddler’s permit to conduct door-to-door outreach.

📚 RWE Americas Development, LLC Scholarship Opportunity 🎓

The Village of San Jose is pleased to announce the availability of the RWE Americas Development, LLC Scholarship for eligible 2026 high school graduates.

Applicants must:
✅ Be a 2026 high school graduate
✅ Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 at graduation
✅ Live in the Village of San Jose or within a 5-mile radius of the Coyote Road BESS Project (3880 County Rd. 2800 N, San Jose, IL)
✅ Be pursuing post-secondary education at a college, university, community college, technical school, or trade school

Applications must include:
📄 A high school transcript showing a GPA of at least 2.5
📄 Proof of acceptance, enrollment, or registration at a college, university, technical school, or trade school

📅 Application Deadline: July 31, 2026
