Moreland School District MSD serves about 3,800 students in 4 elementary schools, 2 TK-8 schools & 1 middle school in West San Jose.

The Moreland School District (MSD) has been a caring, learning environment of students, parents, staff, and community members since 1851. Moreland serves PreK-8th grade students across three cities in Santa Clara County. Our teachers educate about 3,800 students in 4 elementary schools, 2 TK-8 schools, and one middle school. Our students are celebrated for their uniqueness and the talents they con

🎉 What a great kick off a new school year! The annual Moreland Welcome Back Breakfast brought all staff together at the Moreland Middle School quad for a morning of smiles and community spirit.

This year’s celebration was extra special as we honored a big milestone: Happy 175th Birthday to Moreland! (check out the historic bell from the original schoolhouse.)

We also recognized employees for their milestone years of service, welcomed new team members, and had a live musical performance from Moreland employees.

Thank you to everyone who made this kick-off meeting and breakfast so memorable. We are ready for an amazing year ahead! 💙💚

Give your little one a head start on a lifetime of learning! Moreland State Preschool offers a play-based program where 3 and 4-year-olds build social skills, pre-academic foundations, and friendships that last — all in a warm, inclusive classroom setting.
