Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of 11,327 from grades TK-8. Four out of nineteen schools receive Title I funds. The size of the school ranges from the highest (905) student enrollment to the lowest (440) student enrollment. About 19% of the district’s students are white (not Hispanic), 50% are Hispanic, 20% are Asian or Pacific Islander, 5% are African American while 7% a

re in other categories including biracial. The percentage of English Learners is 28% representing 60 languages spoken in the district. Forty-five percent of the students qualify for the free and reduced-price school lunch. Ten percent of the students receive special education services.

Yesterday, Oak Grove educators came together for professional learning as we prepare to launch our new SAVVAS Language Arts curriculum across the district!

Through collaboration and shared learning, our teachers are building new strategies to strengthen literacy and inspire a love of learning. 💚

🥗🍇🌽🥪 We are pleased to inform you that the Oak Grove School District will continue the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2026-2027 school year. ALL Oak Grove students (regardless of income or application) will CONTINUE to be provided healthy breakfasts AND lunches each day at NO CHARGE.

In addition to FREE MEALS, DID YOU KNOW that your student(s) may qualify for additional benefits such as discounted internet, FREE after school child care and more? The Oak Grove School District has been selected to receive the Latina/o Educational Advancement and Distinction (LEAD) Award 🏆 from the California Latino School Boards Association (CLSBA). This prestigious recognition celebrates our District’s outstanding growth on the California Dashboard and our continued commitment to advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives across all schools.

The award will be presented during the UNITY 2026 Conference, taking place in San Jose on August 28 or 29, 2026. Please see the message below for additional details regarding this remarkable accomplishment and the upcoming celebration.

Oak Grove School District is proud to honor the hard work, growth, and achievements of our 8th grade students as they prepare to promote to high school. Each of our intermediate schools and programs will host special ceremonies to recognize the Class of 2026, and families are invited to join in the celebrations. Please save the date for your student’s promotion ceremony:

Monday, June 8, 2026
Christopher School – 2:30pm | Multipurpose Room

Tuesday, June 9, 2026
Indigo Program – 11:00am in the Frost/Indigo Cafeteria (Reception to follow)

Davis Intermediate - 11:30am-1:00pm Multi-Purpose Room/Cafeteria
Students walk through and across the stage in 3 groups. Names are called at the podium on stage, while guests sit in chairs. Each group can meet their students after, in front of the school, for photos and an ice cream/food truck.
3 Groups:
A-G: 11:30
H-O: 11:55
P-Z: 12:20

Herman Intermediate & AdVENTURE – 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm in the Herman School Gym (Homeroom-based ceremonies)

Bernal Intermediate – Ceremony 1 at 1:00pm and Ceremony 2 at 2:00pm in the Bernal Big Gym
