🦋 UPDATE: My butterfly has officially declared independence.
The sun is setting, it's two stories up on the ceiling, and apparently this butterfly has decided the best place to spend the evening is somewhere I can't reach without a ladder, a grappling hook, and possibly a permit.
Fun butterfly fact: As evening approaches, many butterflies look for a safe place to roost overnight. They become less active as temperatures drop, conserving energy until the sun warms them up again the next morning.
So while I'm down here negotiating, this butterfly is basically saying:
"Thanks for the free food, safe housing, and protection from predators. I'll take it from here."
If you've ever raised butterflies, you know the feeling—months of care, and then your tiny winged friend turns into a tiny flying landlord.
Wish me luck. Tomorrow's mission: convince this ceiling butterfly that the outdoors is actually pretty nice. 😂🦋
