August is National Immunization Awareness Month.
Children’s immune systems begin learning from the moment they are born. The recommended childhood immunization schedule is designed to help protect children when they are most vulnerable to serious diseases — not because they need “more” protection, but because they need protection at the right time. Learn why vaccines are recommended early in life and how the schedule helps children grow up healthy. Talk with your healthcare provider to make sure your little ones are protected.

Black Breastfeeding Week 2026 takes place from August 25 to August 31, marking its 15th anniversary with the theme "WE ALL WE GOT: 15 Years of Community, Care, and Collective Power."

Why It Matters
Health Disparities: Black women face higher maternal mortality rates than white women in the U.S.
Breastfeeding Gaps: Systemic barriers and a lack of diverse, culturally competent lactation care lead to lower breastfeeding rates in the Black community.
Support Networks: The week aims to connect parents with doulas, lactation consultants, and community education.

💚Motherhood doesn't mean you have to do it all alone.
Taking care of your mental health is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and your family. Asking for support is a sign of strength—not weakness.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, or simply need someone to talk to, you deserve care, compassion, and support.
Let's help break the stigma around mental health by reminding every parent that self-care is an essential part of caring for your child.

💬 Share this post to let another mom know she's not alone.
