Since 1947 San Leandro Toastmasters has been helping people build communication and leadership skills. We meet every Thursday via Zoom. They listen and answer.

By giving speeches, gaining feedback, and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge. The San Leandro Toastmasters is a super friendly club where you can meet people who not only want to improve themselves, but also help others become better speakers and leaders! Although the meeting starts at 6:45 pm, officers will be available starting at 6:15 pm as a resour

ce to interested members who want to discuss progress on Pathways. Guests are welcome to arrive at 6:15 pm - we will be happy to share with you how our club works, and would love to hear what brings you to a Toastmaster meeting. I’m continually amazed by the breadth of skill, knowledge, and experience within the ranks of San Leandro Toastmasters. What a talented group!! Every meeting is an opportunity to learn something new.

Hello Everyone,

Tonight's San Leandro Toastmasters meeting is a special one, as we gather to honor and remember our dear friend, Ray Keden. This is a wonderful opportunity to share memories of Ray and the impact he had on all of us.

If you're able to join us, we would love to have you there. We will still follow our usual meeting agenda, but our Table Topics session will be dedicated to celebrating the inimitable Ray.

Tonight's meeting will be hybrid with both physical and virtual rooms open at 6:30 p.m.

How to Join:

IN-PERSON: If you'd like to join us in-person, we'll be at the San Leandro Public Library, 300 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro.

Tonight, we remember a fellow Toastmaster, friend, and familiar face at San Leandro Toastmasters.

Ray Keden was someone who truly enjoyed being part of this club community over the last 40+ years. He brought his presence, personality, vast experience, and generous support to our meetings, and many of our members have memories of conversations, laughter, and encouragement shared with him throughout the decades.

One of the special things about Toastmasters is that a group of people meeting for just an hour each week can become an important part of one another’s lives. Ray was part of that connection, and his absence will be deeply felt.

As we honor his memory, we are reminded to appreciate the people around us and the impact a kind word, a shared story, or a welcoming smile can have.

We are grateful to have known Ray, and we send our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

Another classic SLTM meeting Thursday night!

Our Toastmaster reminded us that the smallest choices we make can have a profound effect on our lives, like choosing to spend just one hour a week growing and learning together at Toastmasters.

This week’s meeting was on Zoom, proving that even online, we can come together from all over to connect, support one another, and grow.

There’s no better way to build confidence and improve your skills than practice, practice, practice.

Great meetings don’t always end when the gavel drops…sometimes they continue at the bar!

Thursday after our hybrid meeting was a reminder that Toastmasters isn’t just about speeches—it’s about connection, laughter, and finding your voice… even when you’re ordering your second round.

From prepared remarks to completely unprepared jokes, we’re building confidence one conversation at a time. Who knew personal growth could be this fun?
