🌸 Happy Mother’s Day from the Alameda County Foster Parent Association 🌸

Today, we celebrate every kind of mom whose love, strength, and care help children feel safe, valued, and supported

Some mothers are connected by birth, others by choice, circumstance, or the simple act of opening their hearts and homes. Every nurturing hand, comforting hug, late-night talk, and moment of encouragement makes a difference that lasts a lifetime.

To the moms navigating reunification, healing, transitions, and new beginnings — we honor your resilience and dedication.

Today and every day, we celebrate the many ways motherhood changes lives for the better.

💐 Wishing you a Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, and joy.

💙 May is National Foster Care Month 💙

This month, we recognize the incredible strength of children and youth in foster care, and we honor the foster parents, relative caregivers, social workers, advocates, and community members who show up with compassion every day.

At the ACFPA we believe no caregiver should walk this journey alone. Together, we build connection, share resources, support one another, and advocate for brighter futures for children and families across Alameda County.

Join the Association and become part of a caring community dedicated to supporting foster families and uplifting children in care.

Yesterday we celebrated Earth Day. We were reminded that care changes everything. 🌎💚

Just like our planet, children in foster care need safe, nurturing environments to grow and thrive. A stable home can make all the difference—offering hope, healing, and the chance to bloom into something beautiful.

Planting a tree is an act of faith in the future. So is supporting a child in foster care. Whether you choose to foster, mentor, donate, or simply raise awareness, your actions help create a stronger, more compassionate world—for our children and our planet.

Let’s care for what matters most. 🚸

Need help with Child Care?

November is National Adoption Month!

We celebrate families formed through adoption

There are over 37,000 children in foster care in CA in 2025. Around 5,500 children are adopted each year in California.

We raise awareness of the need for permanent families for children in foster care. All children deserve a safe, loving, and stable home. 💜

November is National Adoption Month. The Parentage Opportunity Program can help establish legal parentage for the children of unmarried or same-sex couples. Don’t pay for costly court procedures if you qualify, learn more about how the Parentage Opportunity Program can help at CalParentage.org
