April 12–18, 2026 is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week—a time to recognize and thank our Cal Poly Police Emergency Dispatchers for everything they do.
Each year, our dispatchers handle more than 19,000 calls for service, supporting our community and serving as a critical link between the public and our officers. They are often the calm, steady voice people hear during some of their most stressful moments.
