**THIS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH** How awesome would it be to have a career teaching young people how to analyze crime scenes, evaluate evidence, and think like forensic scientists? 🔍
Join Cal Poly CESAME for our next "Why I Teach" conversation featuring Sharmin Eppley, a Santa Maria High School science teacher who brings forensic science to life in her classroom. Through hands-on investigations and real-world applications, she shows students how science connects directly to careers in criminal justice, lab work, and beyond.
This Thursday, February 19 from 5:30 - 6:30pm in the Cotchett Education Building Room 02-203, Sharmin will share what it’s like to teach forensics at the high school level, how she forged her pathway in education, and why she loves combining science, energy, and creativity in her work every day. Free pizza will be provided.
If you’ve ever thought about teaching science, working in STEM, or leading your own forensics class someday, don't miss out!
