Staying Vertical | Healthy Aging & Education Tip of the Day!

Medication safety is essential for vibrant aging.

Remember to keep an up-to-date list of all your prescriptions, over-the-counter vitamins, and supplements, and review them with your doctor or pharmacist at least once a year. Keeping medications in their original labeled containers helps prevent mix-ups and keeps you safe.

Save this post or share it with someone you love.

Our weekly feature of a furry friend from Woods Humane Society is their pet of the week, Maurice. He is approaching his golden years and looking for someone who wants a well-mannered companion.

Imagine yourself on the back patio of a restaurant or winery while listening to music, and you see Maurice fading between the notes of music. He is ready for his locally known cool dog era!

We hope you get adopted, Maurice. Learn more about him at: https://woodshumanesociety.org/adoptions/details/?aid=54935&cid=40&tid=Dog

"Alexa... I need tech help; who should I contact?"

Navigating smart technology and life transitions is smoother when you don't have to do it alone.

SLO Village Movement offers technology help as one of the many wonderful support services. If you need help with tech or love to help people with their tech questions, consider becoming part of your community support system. Go to Slovillage.org or call our office 805-242-6440.

A wagging tail, a warm heart, and a new tradition!

Today at Connection Café, we welcomed Robin Coleman from Woods Humane Society and her special guest, Midnight—a fun senior dog looking for a loving home to spend his golden years.

Inspired by Midnight, we're excited to announce that each week, SLO Village Movement will feature a senior adoptable dog from Woods Humane Society. Just as we believe every older adult deserves connection and community, we believe every senior pet deserves a loving home.

Who knows? Your next best friend may have a little gray on their muzzle.

Learn more about Midnight at this link: https://woodshumanesociety.org/adoptions/details/?aid=26889&cid=40&tid=Dog
