The San Luis Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate or obtain any information of the whereabouts for 19 year old Marlenne Galindo.

Marlenne was last seen on 09/20/2026 at about 0800 hours. Based on information provided by family, Marlenne was last known to be in the company of her boyfriend, Daniel Bacaneri. Marlenne has not been heard of or seen since.

Marlenne is 5’1” tall, weighs 186 lbs, has brown hair, and brown eyes. Possible vehicle involved is a black 2011 Nissan Altima with Arizona license plate 80A0N7.

El Departamento de Policía de San Luis le recuerda a nuestra comunidad que se mantenga alerta ante estafas mediante llamadas telefónicas, mensajes de texto, correos electrónicos, redes sociales y otros medios electrónicos.

Los estafadores pueden llamar haciéndose pasar por un familiar o por alguien que supuestamente lo está ayudando, afirmando que un ser querido estuvo involucrado en un accidente grave, fue arrestado o atraviesa una emergencia. Pueden decir que necesitan dinero con urgencia para gastos médicos, fianzas, gastos legales o reparaciones de vehículos.

La persona que llama puede sonar alterada o desesperada, engañarlo para que usted mismo diga el nombre de un familiar, o incluso utilizar inteligencia artificial para imitar su voz. Con frecuencia intentarán presionarlo para que actúe de inmediato y le pedirán que no se comunique con nadie.

Los estafadores también pueden enviar mensajes de texto, correos electrónicos, enlaces o códigos QR falsos, haciéndose pasar por bancos, agencias gubernamentales, servicios de entrega u otras organizaciones de confianza.

No envíe dinero, no haga clic en enlaces sospechosos y no proporcione información personal, contraseñas ni códigos de verificación.

The San Luis Police Department is reminding our community to stay alert for phone, text, email, social media, and other electronic scams.

Scammers may call pretending to be a family member or someone helping them and claim that your loved one has been involved in a serious accident, arrested, or is experiencing an emergency. They may say money is urgently needed for medical expenses, bail, legal fees, or vehicle repairs.

The caller may sound emotional, trick you into saying the name of a family member, or even use artificial intelligence to imitate their voice. They will often pressure you to act immediately and tell you not to contact anyone.

Scammers may also send fake texts, emails, links, or QR codes pretending to be banks, government agencies, delivery services, or other trusted organizations.

Do not send money, click suspicious links, or provide personal information, passwords, or verification codes.

If you suspect something may be a scam, do not use the phone number or link provided in the message. Contact the business, bank, or organization directly using a trusted phone number or its official website.

If someone claims a loved one is in trouble, hang up and contact your loved one directly to verify their safety.

If you believe you have fallen victim to a scam or provided money or personal information to a scammer, contact the San Luis Police Department to report the incident.

Pause. Think. Verify. Then act.
�A real emergency can be confirmed. A scammer doesn’t want you to have that opportunity.

Yesterday, the San Luis Police Department and San Luis Fire Department had the honor of joining PPEP Tech High School for their 9/11 Stairs Climb Memorial Event.

With honor, pride, and remembrance, PPEP Tech students climbed alongside our police officers and firefighters to pay tribute to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice and to remember the lives lost and the families forever impacted by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Events like this remind us of the courage, sacrifice, and unity that brought our nation together in the face of tragedy. We are proud to stand alongside our students, educators, and community in honoring the heroes and victims of 9/11.

A heartfelt thank you to San Luis PPEP Tech High School for organizing this meaningful memorial and for inviting our local police officers and firefighters to participate.

We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget. 🇺🇸

Today, the San Luis Police Department joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the heroes who ran toward danger when others were running to safety.

Today, we remember the first responders who answered the call, the families who lost loved ones, and the countless acts of courage and sacrifice witnessed on one of our nation’s darkest days.

Twenty-five years later, their courage still inspires us, their sacrifice still humbles us, and their memory lives on.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

From Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7, the San Luis Police Department will conduct enhanced traffic (STEP) and DUI enforcement throughout our city. Officers will focus on impaired driving, speeding, seat belt violations, the use of electronic devices while driving, and pedestrian safety.

Our goal is simple: fewer crashes and more families making it home together.

-Buckle up, every seat, every trip.
-Put the phone away.
-Watch for pedestrians.
-Slow down.
-Plan a sober ride before celebrating.

Your long weekend shouldn’t come with lifelong consequences. Have fun, celebrate responsibly, and remember: buzzed driving is drunk driving.

The San Luis Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the male subject seen in the below photographs. The male subject is wanted for fraud and shoplift that occurred on 08/21/2026 at the local Walmart store.

The San Luis Police Department is seeking help from the public to locate or obtain any information of the whereabouts for 28 year old Omar Daniel Marquez. Omar was last seen leaving his residence in San Luis, AZ, on Wednesday August 26th in the afternoon hours.

Omar left driving a dark gray 2018 Toyota Tacoma with Arizona license plate D4A0PX and was last know to be wearing a t-shirt, sweatpants and tennis shoes. Last information on his vehicle indicates he was traveling northbound from San Luis, AZ.
