Early Voting starts today! Polls are open for the Democratic Primary Runoff starting Monday, May 18th through Friday, May 22nd, 7am-7pm. (Election Day is the day after Memorial Day, so be sure to vote early!)

There are three local races: County Judge, Judge County Court-at-Law #2, and County Clerk. And there are three other important races: Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and State Board of Education Dist 5.

Run off elections typically have very low turn out, so every vote makes a difference. Please mark your calendar and schedule time to vote. The polling locations and all the candidates on your ballot are on the Hays Dems website, https://HaysDems.org.

Meet the new board members! 💙 San Marcos Area Democrats elected a slate of board members at our annual meeting last week. Please help us welcome our four new board members and thank those returning.

New board members are: Mark Solis, Fazia Rizvi, Dianne Witter, and Elva Zdeb. Returning board members are Eileen Sudela (chair), Ann Jensen (secretary), and Diann McCabe. We are energized and ready to work to get out the vote in the run off and in the upcoming mid-term election! But we can't do it alone - we'll be asking for volunteers and we hope you'll step up!
