Any ideas about informing trick or treaters to NOT approach your home at halloween? Leaving your lights off just wont work. Maybe chalking a large circle with a line through it on your driveway? A sign? Ideas??

The reason for this post is to bring something to every ones attention. I have been contacted by text, email and instant message by a few neighbors.
A few years ago it was allowed to place campaign signs in the entrance of the neighborhood. Well it really got out of hand. People in the neighborhood ( people that mow the entrance, do clean ups , National Night Out, Fundraisers to rebuild the signs 3 times.) got together and everyone decided that the best thing to do was to not allow ANY signs at the entrance. The only option was to allow the first person running for office that contacted us to place their add on the cover of our FB page.
Well an individual that lives in our neighborhood that has NEVER participated in our neighborhood projects. Has never attended a neighborhood meeting is running for an office here in town. He has placed one of his signs at the entrance of the neighborhood even after being informed of the decision that was made and has been followed for all these years until now. He refused to remove the sign and continued on to place signs at other questionable locations throughout the neighborhood. My question is, if he cant get along with his own neighbors , how would he be an advocate for our kids by being allowed to be on the board. Not encouraging anyone who to vote for but just wanted to inform everyone of this issue !! Thank You !!
