******‼️🚨🚨🚨🚨‼️******
7:30pm update. CCSUD crews have made the repair and are currently flushing the line of air and any other potential debris that may have entered the line while the repair was being made. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this entire endeavor and hope that you notice restored line pressure shortly. Water appearing“milky” or “cloudy” is a sign of air still being present in your service line and or CCSUD mains. This should dissipate over time.
***For those of you who received a boil water notice alert through our phone call and email notifications***
You will be under a boil water notice until bacteriological (BacT) samples come back negative for any contamination. Unfortunately, the laboratories that are approved through TCEQ are not open 24 hours and close at 5pm. The testing process for a BacT takes 24 hours to complete. CCSUD crews will have a sample ready to drop off at the lab first thing tomorrow morning. However, labs do not run samples individually. Laboratories tend to wait to collect a multitude of samples from water companies across the area before running BacT testing for the day. So with all that being said, you will be under a boil water notice tonight, all day Thursday, and we should expect a result midday Friday. If the sample comes back negative, you will receive a notification through the phone call and email system letting you know the boil water notice has been “rescinded”.
Thank you to those who shared the post throughout the day to get the information out.
Thank you to our CCUSD employees for getting this repair made, working hard, and getting the job done.
CCSUD is committed to providing the best service across our entire 205 square mile district. No matter what your impression has been of CCSUD in the past, I will tell you that changes are being made to earn your trust everyday.
