Happy Adopt-A-Versary to Kateri!
When Kateri came to Animal Services, she in poor health and was very frightened. She was unspayed and had a life-threatening infection of the uterus. After being nursed back to good health she was adopted and has the unconditional love of her new family.
Kateri has acclimated quite well into the Kong family.
Kateri's mom, Shayanna Kong, reported, "She’s best friends with her chinchilla brother and kitty big brother. Big sister, Kaji, is still a little annoyed with her, but they’re slowly enjoying each other’s company now.
While she’ll never meet the dogs, she’s quite curious about them and sneak peeks at them from upstairs often.
She’s happy, healthy, loving and smart! From the moment she arrived, she trusted me completely. I could trim her claws without complaint, pick her up, brush her, etc. She knew her name after 3 days and came when called. She’s extremely obedient for a kitty, which I’m thoroughly impressed with. She’s quite vocal about everything, especially if I’m late to feed breakfast or dinner. She’s a cuddler and loves to sleep in bed with me, often times atop my head."
