🌈 TRUE OR FALSE?

LGBTQ+ people don't experience intimate partner violence as much as straight or cisgender people.

The answer is FALSE.

LGBTQ+ people experience IPV at rates similar to or higher than straight and cisgender people.

At CORA, our LGBTQ+ Program provides affirming, trauma-informed support designed to help LGBTQ+ survivors access resources, build connections, and find safety.

Everyone deserves support that respects who they are.

We’re making progress toward our Fiscal Year End goal — and we’re grateful to everyone who has given so far.

Because of your support, CORA is continuing to provide safety, support, and healing for survivors and their children across San Mateo County — from the 2 a.m. hotline call to emergency shelter, counseling, legal support, and prevention programs.

We still have $50,000 to raise by June 30.

If you’re able, we invite you to make a gift today and help us get there.

CORA's Youth Engagement & Advocacy program reached more than 3,000 students across 26 schools last year. But numbers only tell part of the story.

In classrooms across San Mateo County, CORA staff and trained youth ambassadors taught young people to recognize the signs of unhealthy relationships — through games, conversation, and peer-led workshops in English and Spanish.

After participating, 81% of students said they learned the importance of healthy relationships. 76% said they can now identify warning signs.

CORA's Hope in ACTION campaign is raising $50,000 by June 30 to keep prevention education and crisis services running. Learn more and give at the link below. → https://givebutter.com/corahia26
