The City’s VLF funding shortfall has grown from $7.1 million to approximately $12.9 million for this year. This growing shortfall could impact essential services and resources that our community relies on.

The San Mateo Main Library is open 7 days a week. Open hours have had some fluctuations during times like the COVID-19 Pandemic, but they have averaged around 50 hours a week. Over 20 years, that is more than 50,000 hours of library services to the community!
