It's time for another post, but we don't have to go too far back! On Monday our Director of Programs, Laura Fanucchi, attended the Hillsborough Memorial Day Event.

Tabling season continues for HIP Housing and on Saturday we celebrated Affordable Housing Month by attending two events! Our Director of Programs, Laura Fanucchi, attended Soul Stroll in The City of San Mateo , while our Outreach Specialist, Kevin Joyner, was down the road at the Menlo Park Housing Fair.

Earlier this week, Haley and James (not pictured) from our Self Sufficiency Program staff were out in the community, attending a Mental Health Awareness Month tabling event at Peninsula High School.

The special event served as a reminder that stable housing can provide hope and improve mental health for community members. Way to go, team!

Executive Director, Kate Comfort Harr, joined hundreds of concerned citizens, local elected officials, and nonprofit leaders in support of San Mateo County's efforts to reclaim Vehicle Licensing Fees being wrongfully withheld by the State of California. Getting the fees returned is critical to our cities and County and to all essential local services. Go get 'em!

Last week HIP Housing Board Member LaTisa Brooks attended the Foster City Council meeting with three of our Annual Calendar Contest winners. Foster City had the most art featured from any municipality for our latest calendar. Congratulations to Foster City, and the talented artists!

Their artwork provides hope for the community and reminds us how important home truly is. HIP HIP Hooray!

On Tuesday, two of our calendar contest winners were honored at the San Bruno City Council meeting! The Honorable Mayor Rico E. Medina was so impressed by our contest winners that he had them autograph his calendar!

They remind us why home is so important and can be a source of hope for so many. HIP Housing extends its sincerest thanks and appreciation to the Honorable Mayor and the San Bruno City Council for having us. HIP HIP Hooray!
