“All this books are sooo cool, I want them all!” That was my favorite thing to hear this last week of summer camp. I am happy to know that even amidst the pandemic and everything that has been happening since last year, we still have managed to help kids see the fun behind books and reading. This summer camp is hopefully the start for a new normal.
Today August 9th is Book Lover’s Day. It is an unofficial holiday, but it’s still an important commemoration since books and reading can add so much color to our lives. A good objective in raising a child is having them choose a favorite book. Here is favorite childhood book from our staff: Desperaux by Kate Dicamillo, the story of a mouse in quest to save a princess.
Happy Book Lover’s Day!
