We believe the way to end the school-to-prison pipeline is to transform traditional, punitive school discipline and juvenile justice systems are through restorative, trauma-informed, and peer-driven solutions. We believe the best way to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline is to transform traditional, punitive school discipline and juvenile justice systems into restorative, trauma-informed, and p

eer-driven solutions where youth can reflect and learn from mistakes, repair damage and relationships harmed, and move forward successfully.

Working in collaboration with youth, schools, law enforcement and community organizations, we envision safer communities where youth stay in school, schools cultivate a greater sense of personal connection, safety, and accountability, and youth exercise authentic agency in their lives and neighborhoods.

Giving Tuesday is around the corner! Diverging from the consumer-driven nature of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday represents a distinctive approach to kicking off the holiday season. Rather than emphasizing consumerism, Giving Tuesday encourages acts of philanthropy, harnessing the true spirit of the holiday season. Over time, Giving Tuesday has evolved into an annual international event, and raised a remarkable $3.1 billion for charitable causes in the United States last year.

This year, YTJ is pleased to announce our own Giving Tuesday campaign, with the objective of raising $20,000 to support our mission to end the school-to-prison pipeline. We hope that November 28th will mark yet another day of generous contributions, benefiting not only YTJ but all organizations working hard to better our communities.

Over the next 2 weeks you will meet some of the young people who have had their lives changed by YTJ and your generosity!
