Marin County District Attorney Our mission is to promote safety through innovative and collaborative approaches to crime prevention.

The District Attorney prosecutes violations of state law and county ordinances, but not federal law or city ordinances. To assist the District Attorney in performing these functions is a staff of Chief Deputy District Attorneys and Deputy District Attorneys, Inspectors, Clerical personnel, Victim-Witness advocates, Volunteers and other support personnel. Happy Pride Month!

This month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to be themselves.

We're also proud to recognize Vic, a member of our LGBTQ+ community, on a recent career milestone. Vic was recently promoted to Support Services Supervisor—a reflection of her hard work, leadership, and dedication to supporting both our team and those we serve.

The proposed 2026-28 Marin County budget is now available for public review.
The two-year spending plan is organized around six Board of Supervisors priority areas: Affordable Housing and Homelessness, Race Equity, Climate Change and Sea Level Rise, Disaster Preparedness, County Infrastructure, and Community and Economic Vitality.
Public hearings are scheduled for June 8-10. Now is the time to review the proposal and prepare your input.

COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY: San Pablo Bay Shoreline 🌊

A Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued for bayshore locations along San Pablo Bay from 10 PM Saturday through 3 AM Tuesday.

What to expect:

Up to 1.0 foot of saltwater inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

Peak impacts will occur around high tide cycles in San Francisco:

Saturday 5/16: 11:31 PM

Monday 5/18: 12:17 AM

Tuesday 5/19: 1:07 AM

Safety Actions:
🚗 Travel: Allow extra time for commutes. Never drive through water or around barricades.
🏠 Property: Take steps now to protect flood-prone property near the shoreline.

Today, the Marin County Board of Supervisors recognized 86 employees for their incredible dedication to public service—representing a combined 2,095 years of service to our community.

We are proud to share that 9 of those honorees are from the Marin County District Attorney’s Office, reflecting the deep commitment and experience of our team.

Among those recognized was District Attorney Lori Frugoli for 35 years of service, alongside colleagues marking 20, 25, and 30-year milestones.

Thank you to all who were honored today for your continued service to Marin County.

The Walk for Moms is back for its 6th annual community event supporting maternal mental health awareness.

Join families, community partners, and advocates on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 3:00–6:00 PM at Children’s Island for an afternoon of community connection, resources, music, activities, and a walk to remind every parent and caregiver that no one walks alone.

The Marin County District Attorney’s Office is proud to support efforts that raise awareness around maternal mental health and strengthen support for families in our community.
