Yesterday, National Police Week commenced across our nation as communities, agencies, and families pause to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers. Last week the Court signed a proclamation recognizing National Police Week and honoring the men and women who serve their communities by wearing the badge.
National Police Week is a time to remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and to honor the legacy they leave behind. It is also a time to recognize the dedication, courage, and commitment carried by law enforcement officers each day in service to others.
Throughout this week, blue candles will once again glow in the windows of the San Saba County Sheriff’s Office and San Saba Police Department as a tribute to our fallen officers. These lights serve as a quiet reminder that the sacrifices made in this profession are never forgotten.
We invite our community to join us for our local Peace Officer Memorial Service as we come together in remembrance and gratitude. Our service will be held Wednesday evening at the San Saba County Courthouse, South steps.
To all deputies, officers, troopers, wardens, rangers, and agents - thank you for your unwavering service and dedication to the people of Texas and San Saba County. We are proud to serve alongside you.
