Pinal County Development Services (aka Public Works) brought their great big road grader to our Touch-a-Truck Kick Off Party! We were very happy to see them so we could deliver our "Thank You" card that our patrons made to acknowledge the awesome support they give our program, which this year included locating a flasher road sign on Bella Vista to promote Summer Reading - Unearth a Story. We had so much fun making our video with the sign and hope all our friends enjoyed seeing it on their way to visit us!

THANK YOU to all our awesome partners who made our Summer Reading 2026 Kick Off Party a HUGE success! We had over 500 friends come join us for touch-a-trucks, touch-a-tortoise, temporary tattoos, shave ice and fun! It's always great to partner with Pinal County Sheriff's Office, Pinal County Development Services (Public Works), Rural Metro, Pinal County Open Space, Trails and Regional Parks, Pinal Votes (Voter Van), Friends of the San Tan Valley Library, Central Arizona College San Tan Campus, and Desert Snow. Thank you to One Hope San Tan Valley for providing water bottles. Let the summer reading fun begin!

IT'S ALMOST HERE!!! Our dinosaur friends were out and about this morning and saw this awesome road sign that the Pinal County Development Services placed on Bella Vista Road (it's across from the driveway for the Central Arizona College San Tan Campus ). Summer Reading starts Monday, June 1st and runs through Saturday, July 11th. Track your reading minutes on the Beanstack App (https://pinalcounty.beanstack.org/reader365) and earn some excellent rewards along the way. If you meet your reading goal, you will also be entered into a raffle at the end of Summer Reading!

9 - 9:45 AM CHAIR YOGA: Start your weekend with a gentle stretch…all poses are seated or standing with a chair assist. Wear comfortable clothes.
9:45 AM - Noon YARN CRAFTERS: All are welcome: young or old, beginners or experts. Come share ideas and learn some new skills. Bring your own supplies.
1 - 3 PM LET’S PLAY!: Game time for those 18 and up. Hang out with a nice group of friends and play a fun game.

The San Tan Valley Library will open at Noon on Friday, June 5, 2026. Our staff will be busy minding the dinosaurs at our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party (from 10 AM - Noon) at the Central Arizona College San Tan Campus...we hope you'll come check out all the fabulous Touch-a-Trucks, Snow Cones, and all the other great things we've got planned!

The library's hours for June 5 will be Noon - 5 PM.
