Helping Hand Summer 2026: What To Expect

This summer the Helping Hand will be open on 4 Tuesdays:
July 7 & 21
August 4 & 18
We will return to our weekly schedule on September 1st.

No appointments are needed in the summer, you can come anytime between 11am and 4pm. Please bring your own bags!

The Helping Hand is available to any student/family in the NW Central School District.

We are located at:
NW High School
2292 Saunders Settlement Rd
Use DOOR 9
This door is located between the Middle School bridge and the new auditorium.

When you arrive, our staff will greet you and gather some basic information. We will limit the number of families in the room to 2-3 at a time.

We will provide you with a list of food items you may choose from. The items are meant to supplement your groceries and provide some extra help. Hygiene items will be available once per month.

When: April 26th 11:00am-1:00pm
Where: Niagara Wheatfield High School (Main Hall - Door 1)

Highlights:
-Over 30 local organizations offering information
on physical, emotional, social, and financial health
-Free yoga and fitness classes
-Free crafts for kids
-Free car seat checks
-Free blood pressure checks
-Appearances by Justice League Superheroes
-NW Flag Football demonstrations

Additional Attractions:
-Food truck: Steaksters, available from 11 AM - 1:30
PM in front of the high school
-JV and Varsity Girls Lacrosse games against
Lockport at 11:30 AM on the sports fields behind the
high school
-NWCSD families, stop by our Helping Hand room
for free groceries, hygiene products, and gently
used clothing for students and families!
