Steady progress so far at the newly formed Candlelight Curated Inc. Our office was grateful to assist with this important manufacturing operation in the City of Lockport.

Five months after the abrupt collapse of Candlelight Cabinetry in Lockport, workers will start coming back to make new cabinets as soon as Monday as new owners take over.

Continuing our efforts to help grow Niagara County’s workforce, our team stopped by the Niagara County Employment & Training Summer Job Fair at Oppenheim Park alongside Director Don Jablonski and Legislator Jesse Gooch. The event was an overwhelming success, bringing together more than 80 businesses and connecting job seekers with valuable employment opportunities throughout WNY.

Thank you to the NYS Department of Labor for hosting their seminar on Child Labor and Workplace Laws at our offices this morning. It was a very informative session for business leaders to help raise awareness on how to stay in compliance with their workforces.

Our team attended the NY SMART I-Corridor Semiconductor Summit in Rochester this week, where industry leaders, manufacturers, suppliers, educational institutions, utilities, and economic development organizations came together to discuss the future of semiconductor growth in Upstate New York.

As investments in advanced manufacturing continue to expand across the region, Niagara County is well-positioned to play a role in this growing ecosystem, and we remain committed to supporting workforce development, business growth, and regional partnerships that help drive long-term economic success.

Executive Director Klyczek and some of our team members had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Women’s Wellness Summit hosted by Buffalo Business First, focused on women’s health, professional growth, and community connections.

The event featured expert-led discussions on women’s health advancements, networking opportunities with professionals from across the Buffalo Niagara region, and the Women’s Village showcasing women-owned businesses and organizations dedicated to empowering women. It was an inspiring event highlighting the importance of supporting women’s health, leadership, and success in our communities.
