North Tonawanda, NY — Sheriff Captain steps back into the ring after more than two decades.
June 29, 2026
This past Saturday night Niagara County Sheriff's Office Captain Tom "The Hurricane" Huff took a step back in time as he entered the squared circle once again in a professional kickboxing match. The very successful event, Mayhem on Main Street, held in North Tonawanda featured a ton of local fighters. Huff, who hasn't stepped into the ring since 2003, won a unanimous decision over Buffalo's Jimmie Levins in the Co-Main Event in front of a sold out crowd.
Huff came out establishing a solid jab, and took control of the fight early as he dropped Levins at the end of the first round. Huff would then cruise on to get the decision victory.
Huff's inspiration to fight again came as he returned to the sport of Boxing last September as a coach. Huff began coaching the Niagara Falls High School After School Boxing Program. Huff's time in the program gave him the urge to step into the ring again. He began his training camp in May at Fightnight Boxing Club under coaches and fellow police officers Adonis Alcime and Gabriel Gonzalez, both of whom were in his corner Saturday night. The event was deemed a huge success.
