Meet Ari and Chip

This mom and son were surrendered to us last week and after spending some time decompressing, they are just the sweetest kitties. They love attention and are well socialized. They would love forever homes of their very own.

We got the most precious update from Okie Grown Farms who adopted a special barn cat from us in 2024.

This feral girl came into the shelter in rough shape. She was sick, cuts on her face, missing a foot, crumpled ear and had a litter of babies nursing on her. She had been through so much before coming to us. We got her through it but she still did not like to be touched by humans. OGF stepped up to adopt her and let her live on their beautiful farm with indoor/outdoor access and farm friends — truly the paradise she deserved.

Here she is living the life every cat deserves. Even though it’s been two years and she still avoids human touch, she’s truly happy, thriving and loved. Thank you OGF for this update. This is what we strive for, the best life for all animals. 🥹

🚨 SHELTER FULL — HAIZLY NEEDS A HERO 🚨

Haizly has already survived something no dog ever should. 💔

This beautiful 4-year-old shepherd mix was found hiding under a truck, terrified and hesitant to trust anyone. When she was brought in, staff discovered she had been SHOT with a .22 rifle and the lead was still lodged in her jaw area.

Despite everything humans have done to her… she is still gentle. Still sweet. Still willing to love. 🥺

Haizly can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she’s all about treats, attention, and being close to her people. She’s currently healing physically and emotionally, and what she truly needs now is a home where she never has to be afraid again.

Sand Springs Animal Welfare is FULL, and dogs are urgently needing adopters, fosters, and rescues. Haizly deserves so much more than a shelter kennel after everything she’s been through.
