At the end of September, we celebrated our wonderful Sandite Heroes and Staff Spotlight recipients! The character trait for September is respect, and these students and teachers are walking examples for our school community of what it means to be respectful each day.
Our student recipients are Parker B. and Sir O.! Parker and Sir embody respectfulness by treating others with kindness, helping their teachers and peers, and leading our younger Sandites by example. You will always catch these students being respectful to adults and peers alike, with smiles on their faces and good attitudes to go around!
Mrs. Tabor and Coach Corbin were selected by our staff as our first Staff Spotlights of the year! These two are the dynamic safety duo in our school, holding down both morning and lunch recess and keeping students safe and happy outside. Within the school, they juggle prioritizing relationships with students while delivering quality content that motivates students to reflect on their choices and take responsibility for their learning.
We are so proud of these award recipients- each so deserving! Our sponsor for September was the @918 Group- Keller Williams Advantage, and they absolutely spoiled our student winners! Just look at those adorable baskets! Thank you so much for making our students feel loved and appreciated. Our community sponsors make this monthly event so special!
