Our recent Summer Reading Kick Off was a success and this is in no small part due to the amazing volunteers and board members who dedicated their Saturday morning to support us! Events like this could NOT be possible without the continued help and dedication of our volunteers & board members. A HUGE shout out to this group of amazing people. We appreciate you more than we can express. 🫶

To our "forever popcorn guru", Elizabeth Avant...YOU ROCK.
To the volunteer who stayed late the week before putting together tables, moving furniture, and finishing up game displays...thank you, Kimberly Norwood...you are the bomb.
And to our patron Anthony who volunteered to move heavy materials and stand up on the ladder to get our dinosaurs to stay put when we couldn't get them to behave...you are the greatest.

Thank you to the community for supporting our summer reading program by bringing the children in your lives to the events we work hard to coordinate and keep fun.

A huge shout out to the staff who dressed up, worked hard and showed off 😆: Tammy Reece, Jenny Johnson, Laurie Perdue and Deborah Atkinson.

Pictures of the event are forthcoming. These are the pictures of our volunteers who would allow us to snap their photo 😉.

Remember, if you don't already have a library card, come on in and register for one so you don't have to stand in line Saturday to do so.

We are seeing some SUPER readers who are working hard to reach that goal of 1000 books before kindergarten! Aiden has read 200 and Delphyne has read 300 and both are going strong! These accomplishments are family celebrations because all are committed to reading to and/or with the kids. Reading time is FUN time. Congratulations to both of these winning readers.

Getting your first library card of your very own is a BIG deal! Just ask Marshall, and he will tell you.
