It was a perfect afternoon for Sandown North's Memorial Day commemoration! Students and staff dressed in red, white, and blue and brought their singing voices outside around the flagpole.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance, our community honored the occasion with "The Star-Spangled Banner" and other patriotic songs such as "America the Beautiful." Highlights included a moving rendition of "One Nation" by our 4th and 5th grade chorus, concluding with a poignant performance of "Taps" by our 5th grade trumpeters.
We take this time to remember the brave heroes who gave their lives in service to our country. Thank you also to our veterans and current service members that continue to protect our country and our freedom. We honor and appreciate your service.
