The 2027 UK BookCrossing Un-Convention is heading to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

📍 Isle of Cumbrae, 3rd–5th September 2027

Millport is the sole town on the Isle of Cumbrae, with a permanent population of around 1,200. The island sits in the Firth of Clyde and is often described as “Scotland’s most accessible island”.

The idea is simple:

BookCrossing Annual Convention 2026 – St Albans, England 🇬🇧

Earlier this month, some 100 BookCrossers from around the world gathered in St Albans, England, for the 20th in-person BookCrossing Annual Convention.

Since the first Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2004, these gatherings have celebrated a shared love of books, friendship, and the joy of releasing books into the wild. Alongside local meetups held throughout the year, the annual Conventions have become a cherished BookCrossing tradition.

One thing has remained constant: BookCrossing Conventions are entirely member-driven. Every Convention has been planned, hosted, and run by BookCrossing members volunteering their time to create an unforgettable experience for fellow BookCrossers.

The tradition continues in 2027, when BookCrossers will gather in Singapore for the next annual Convention.

Here’s to many more years of books, friendship, and connecting readers around the world - one book at a time.
