Aliens, baseball players, gamers, and so many more characters made an appearance at Sandston’s PTA Fall Festival Thursday night. Many families played games, participated in cake walks, coloring and costume contests for all ages. It was a wonderful night and memories were made.

Celebrating Our 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year: Ms. Margo Williams!

At Sandston Elementary, we are proud to honor Ms. Margo Williams as our 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year!

Ms. Williams is much more than an outstanding librarian. She is a mentor, leader, innovator, and friend who consistently goes above and beyond for students and staff. Colleagues describe her as someone with a "big heart" who always believes in others and is willing to help whenever needed. Many shared that she has been a source of encouragement throughout their careers, opening her door, offering support, and inspiring them to be their best.

Her impact reaches far beyond the library. Ms. Williams supports students through the Research & Innovation Lab, Sandston Morning Clubs, and countless learning opportunities that spark curiosity and creativity. Fellow educators praise her unwavering commitment to student success, her collaborative spirit, and her dedication to lifelong learning, including pursuing National Board Certification. One colleague shared that Ms. Williams is the very definition of a lifelong learner, while another described her as "a wonderful example of what it means to be a Sandston STAR."

Thank you, Ms. Williams, for the difference you make every day. Your leadership, kindness, and passion for education inspire our entire school community. We are grateful for all you do and proud to celebrate you as Sandston Elementary's Teacher of the Year!
