Each year, the Ohio Secretary of State's office awards two Precinct Election Officials (PEOs) in the state, one from each political party. We have previously had the honor of having one of our own receive this prestigious award, and we aim to continue this proud tradition. 👏👏👏👏

Today our office conducted our post-election audit and are happy to report with a 100% accuracy rate. For the post-election audit, bi-partisan staff must hand count at least 5% of all ballots cast.

Due to the water main breaks and Columbus Ave. being closed in front of our building our office is closing for the holiday weekend. We will resume regular business hours Tuesday, May 26th at 8am.

Yesterday, our staff and Board Members officially certified the results of the Primary Election held on May 5, 2026.

Before the certification, we reviewed provisional ballots as well as any military or overseas ballots returned by the May 9th deadline. After completing this process, we included an additional 54 provisional ballots and 2 military or overseas ballots in the official election results. Canvassing after each election ensures that every eligible voter's voice is heard within the guidelines set forth by the state.

Total voter turnout for the election was 22.18% in Erie County.
