Dii’Azia Brown successfully graduated from the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program after demonstrating remarkable dedication to the goals she set for herself at the start of her journey. Throughout the program, she worked diligently to increase her earned income, secure her driving permit, and open bank accounts to strengthen her financial foundation. She also made significant progress in improving her credit score and completed a homebuyer education course—key steps that further empowered her path toward long-term stability and independence.

Looking ahead, Dii’Azia plans to use her hard-earned escrow funds thoughtfully and strategically. She intends to purchase a reliable vehicle to support her daily needs and expanded opportunities, cover relocation expenses for a higher-paying job, and build an emergency savings fund as she continues working toward her dream of homeownership. Her accomplishments in the FSS Program reflect not only her hard work but also her commitment to creating a better future for herself and her family.

She also completed a homebuyer education course, preparing her for long-term financial stability. With her hard work and determination, Kristel no longer needs Section 8 assistance and is now looking forward to using her escrow funds to pay down debt and possibly take the exciting next step of purchasing her own home.

Public Housing Property Case Manager

Erie Metropolitan Housing Authority (Erie MHA) seeks a qualified Public Housing Property Case Manager. Responsibilities include: tenant screening, leasing, rent calculation, and other case management assignments. Organization, excellent communication skills, computer knowledge, and typing proficiency are very important. Must be able to lift 45 lbs. High school graduate or equivalency required; post-secondary education is preferred. Must be able to pass job certification examinations. Experience needed: One-year prior experience in general office work and prior experience in property management. Public Housing experience preferred. Must possess valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable by Erie MHA’s carrier. Pre-employment physical and drug screening required. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, bargaining unit position with additional benefits available – medical, vision, dental, life insurance, paid holiday and vacation time, and more.
